It began as a mere idea while in Sydney (Australia) when SURU storeowners (Joe Hahn of Linkin Park and Noel) and Heidi (Biz Dev @LudoTruck) were thinking of ways to revitalize the spirit of Melrose Avenue. Then it became a full-blown project.
Noel and Heidi went from store-to-store to introduce the idea of having a monthly event with food trucks and shops on Melrose Avenue. Somewhere between now and then, Heidi spoke to food truck owners of the SoCal Mobile Food Vendors Association, the Department of Transportation to reserve space for food trucks, photoshopped a site map, created a flier, learned how to make a website, a facebook groups page, a twitter account, and then voila—out came Melrose Night.
